Good
Morning!
Correction ~~~ I accidentally typed
in Acts 16:21 instead of Acts 16:31 yesterday! If you went to
the Word to read it, then you probably already know that! I encourage
you to read that scripture out of the Amplified Bible.
Let
me clarify something before we continue on with the message that The
Lord wants us to get hold of . . . which is the fact that born again
Christians have a "covenant" with God! First of all, I did not
write the Bible, and I am not trying to "re-write" it! I just
say what God says, and I just type what He tells me to type. I always
encourage my readers to GO TO THE WORD OF GOD AND READ IT FOR YOURSELF!
It is not my job to give you "revelation" of that Word, that job
belongs to The Holy Spirit. He is the only One that can do
that! And believe me, He WILL do that for you if you will
"ask" Him to. My job is to "speak the Truth in
love", so that we can all "grow up" in Jesus (Ephesians 4:15).
The Lord did not call me to "tickle ears" . . . He called me to
"prick hearts" (Acts 2:37), not only to lead people to Jesus by
"pricking" their hearts, but to incite Christians to
have a desire in their hearts to be all that God says
they can be and to have all that God says they can have!
Well,
I guess all of that sounded kinda "tuff", but you know what?
Sometimes the instructions that God gives to us personally, may seem
"rough and tough", but He is always "speaking the Truth to
us in LOVE"! That is because He wants us to "grow up"!
I
started this encouragement off by saying that I wanted to "clarify"
something that I said in yesterday's encouragement, but I guess The Holy
Spirit had something to say first! So, now . . . let me make this very
"simply" clear ~~~~~ If you are a Christian, then you
are an "heir" to all of the Covenant promises that God has set forth
in His Word! This does not mean that those promises are going to
"automatically" be manifested in your life! You have to believe
that God has made a "covenant" with you concerning the members of
your "household"! (Acts 16:31) Then you have to start
"talking covenant-talk" concerning them! Oh, precious ones . .
. just because you have a covenant with God does not mean that you will
"automatically" see His covenant promises come to pass!
You have to "believe with your heart and confess with your
mouth"! Say this: Thank you Father that my household is
a "covenant household", and I will continue to say that ______
(put your loved one's name there) SHALL be saved!
I
will be talking more about covenant promises concerning our
"household", because God has a lot to say about that!
