Good
Morning!
OK! Got
your "buckets" ready? Then, let's get on with
"drawing" the LIFE out of God's Word! ~~~~
In
Monday's encouragement, we started "accenting" one word at a time,
and our next word would have been 'Shepherd' . . . so that is where we will
take back up. Keep in mind how you accented each one of the
previous words, as we now read it again this way . . . The Lord is my SHEPHERD. Praise
God! Get a "revelation"! Can you imagine
"sheep" wringing their hands, and "wondering" where their
provision, protection or direction is going to come from?! NO!!
They just "follow" after their SHEPHERD! Well, now
hear this . . . When Jesus was talking about His
"sheep", He was not talking about those precious, little woolly
lambs" . . . He was talking about His precious "flock" of born
again believers! He always used the "natural" to
point to the "spiritual"!
In
one of my earlier encouragements I talked about how Jesus had said,
"I AM the Good Shepherd" . . . I was reading from the book of John,
verses 11 and 14. Then, in verse 27, Jesus says, "My
sheep hear My voice . . . and they "follow" Me !
Here is the KEY, precious ones! We must be able to hear AND
"recognize" HIS voice! This is the only way that
we can receive His "direction" for our lives! And the
only way that we can recognize His voice, and KNOW that He is speaking to
us . . . is by spending time "communicating" with Him! For
example . . . whenever I call someone on the phone, I will say
"this is Luanne." They always say . . . "I know",
and I say, "How did you know it was me"? They say, "I
recognize your voice". But, if I were to call you, and you had
never "listened" to me talk before, would you recognize my
voice? The Lord is always talking to us, but we have got to learn how to
"LISTEN" to Him!
You
know what? I am not sure who all of that was for, but as I have said many
times before . . . I just show up for work, and let the Holy Spirit tell
me what to type! Much more to come on how to
"recognize" the SHEPHERD'S voice so that we can receive
His provision, protection and direction! We will be in Psalms
23 for awhile, so stay tuned in! ~~~~~~~
Have
a Blessed Day!! (The Lord is YOUR
"Shepherd"!) In His Love, Luanne
