Good
Morning!
I
will continue with Psalms 23 ~~~~~ We are still in verse 1, and will probably
be in that verse for a while! There is so much to "glean" from
this verse!
You
see, there is LIFE in the Word of God, but we have to "draw" that
LIFE out! Let me use this example to explain what I mean by that: Let's
say that you have a water well, and you can go to that well and you can
"see" the water there. However, just because there is water in the
well, and just because you can "see" that water . . . that water is
not going to do you any good until you "draw" it out!
That is the only way that you will "benefit" from the purpose of
that water!
So
it is, with The Word of God . . . He has a "purpose" for everything
that He has said in His written Word (which is a well-spring of LIFE)!
He has provided the "water", but it is up to us to "draw"
it out! I started sharing about how to do this, yesterday, in my
"encouragement" . . . by taking one word at a time and really
"thinking" about what it is saying! I don't know if you know
anything about "drawing" water out of a well, but it takes more
than just one "tug" on the rope! Right now, just try
to "picture" in your mind someone standing at a water well and
drawing the water out. See them starting to pull the bucket up with
the rope . . . first with one hand and then with the other hand over and
over until they finally get "hold of it"! Get the
"picture"?
So,
that is how the Holy Spirit is going to help us draw the "life"
out of Psalms 23! One "tug" at a time (one word at a time),
until our bucket (cup) runneth over! If the phrase "cup
runneth over" sounds familiar to you . . . it is in verse 5 of Psalms
23! If you are "coming up empty" then maybe you are
drawing from the wrong "well"!
I had planned to go to the
next word . . . "shepherd" today, but once again, The Holy Spirit
had something else to say first! More to come . . . see you
Thursday!
Have
a Blessed Day!! (Start "drawing" from His
well"!) In His Love, Luanne
