Good
Morning!
I
am back!
Now,
back to Psalms 23 . . . God has a beautiful "plan" for walking us
through this chapter, one verse at a time. Remember, I am using the
Amplified Bible ~~~~
Psalms
23:1 . . . "The Lord is my Shepherd ( to feed, guide and shield me
); I shall not lack". I was reading this one day, and The
Lord had me stop and think about what He was talking about when He said
that He would (feed, guide and shield me). To "feed" me is
talking about His "provision" . . . to "guide" me is
talking about giving me "direction" . . . to "shield" me
is talking about His "protection"! That is what has been
made available to us when we "acknowledge" Him as our Shepherd
. . . He will give us "provision" in every area of our lives and He
will give us "direction" in every area of our lives and He will give
us "protection" in every area of our lives! If that
wasn't awesome enough . . . He goes on to let us know that there will be no
"lack" if we will believe and receive His "provision,
protection and direction"! He makes everything so
"simple" for us! Somebody ought to be shouting praises to God
right about now!
I am going to share with
you how The Holy Spirit revealed to me what a "personal" covenant
promise this is to me! He had me read the first part of that verse over
and over again, and "accent" one word at a time. I really
encourage you to do this and think about it !~~~~~ The LORD
is my shepherd . . . (who or what am I looking to for my "provision,
protection and direction")? Is it my "job" . . . my
"spouse" . . . my "kids" or anything else but The Lord?
Next word . . . The Lord IS my shepherd . . . (when will He give
me "provision, protection and direction")? The "word"
IS is present tense, just like the "word" AM . . . remember?
He said "I AM" . . . so, He gives us "provision" at the
present time that we need it, and He gives us
"protection" at the present time that we need it, and He
gives us "direction" at the present time that we need it!
He says in Psalms 46:1 that He IS a very "present" help in
time of trouble (or need)! Next word . . . The Lord is MY
shepherd . . . it does not get any more "personal" than that!
Think about it . . . The Lord is not just The Good Shepherd in a
"general" sense, but He is your very own "personal"
shepherd!!
I am going to save
the next word for tomorrow . . . there is so much more to share, and this is
already a little longer than I usually keep my encouragements! I pray
that you have been blessed so far! We have only just begun!
Have
a Blessed Day!! (The Lord is YOUR
shepherd!) In His Love, Luanne
