T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Oct. 10, 2006

Morning!
Okay!
I promised to share some " I AM " scriptures, and (I am) more than
happy to keep that "promise"!
Jesus
said . . . "I AM the Good Shepherd"! He says this in John
10:11, and He says it again in John 10:14! You know
why? Jesus understood the power of "repetition", and that
is why His Word says that FAITH comes by "hearing and hearing"
(Romans 10:17). In fact, you will find this principle all through the
Bible . . . even the writers of the New Testament repeated themselves over and
over again. Repetition is a very powerful force . . . this is why I
encourage all of you to "read" your Bible, your daily devotionals,
and yes . . . even my encouragements OUT LOUD! Let yourself
"hear" the Truth that you are reading, and then continue to speak
those "truths" out of your mouth! What happens when we do
this? First of all, "faith" comes by hearing, not by reading.
Secondly, when you continually "speak" The Word out loud, then
you are "hearing and hearing"! That brings FAITH to your
heart, and it takes FAITH to "receive" the covenant
promises of God! Every one of His covenant promises are all
"wrapped up" in two words . . . I AM
Once
again, this has gone in a different direction from my plans . . .
I thought The Holy Spirit was going to have me get into Psalms 23,
but obviously He wanted to lay a foundation of "faith" first!
That is why I pray before I start "typing" . . . I want to make
sure that I am going to "type" what HE wants to say,
not what I "think" He wants to say! However, I do believe that
He still wants me to go to Psalms 23 . . . and so I will do that in my next
encouragement! It is all about "The Good Shepherd" and what
the great "I AM" has promised to do as our
"Shepherd"! Are you excited? I know that I am . . .
(there are those two words again)!
Remember,
no encouragement tomorrow . . . I will be back Thursday! I pray that
this "message" is helping all of us to focus on the Great
"I AM"! Stay tuned in ~~~~~
