Morning!
One
of the covenant promises that we have from the Lord is found in John 14:13.
Here, Jesus tells us that if we ask anything in His "name" it
will be done for us. The Holy Spirit is wanting me to
"expound" on this covenant promise . . . so please hear what HE has
to say!
"In
the name of Jesus" is not just something that we "tack on to the end
of our prayers"! To pray in the "name" of Jesus is
to pray in His "authority"! When someone tells you that you
can use their name, that means that they have given you
the authority to do business in their name . . . right? Well, when
Jesus gave us His "name", He gave us His
"authority"! We need to think about this when we pray!
John
14:14 in the Amplified Bible reads like this ~~~ "Yes! I will
grant -- will do for you -- whatever you shall ask in My name [presenting all
I AM]". Did you get that? This is the exact "translation"
. . . I AM is all "capitalized"! Hummm, does that remind
you of what God told Moses? (Read Exodus 3:14) . . . this is where God
declared that He is the great "I AM"!
Wow! That reminds me of a song . . . I did not write it, but The Lord is
wanting me to share it now! It is very "up-beat" so tap
your toes as you sing it!

COUNSELOR . . . ZION'S RIGHTEOUS GOVERNOR;

THE GREAT . . . THE GREAT . . . "I AM"!
Awe . . . shucks, guys and
gals, I don't want to quit now! I want to talk about what all is
included in "I AM", but that would take me a long time!
I like to keep all of my encouragements short . . . that is the way
The Lord has always had me do them, and I think it is because He does not want
to put too much on our plate at one time! He wants us to chew (meditate)
on just a few bites at a time!
So, I will be back with a "second helping" Monday!
