Good
Morning!
There is a "saying" that I have
heard all my life......"You better be careful what you say, you may have
to eat your words". Have any of you ever heard something like that?
Well, anyway, at the time that I heard people talk about having to
eat your own words, I just thought that it was something that the world came
up with. I did not know that it was a biblical and spiritual
"principle"! Proverbs 18:21 tells us that death and
life are in the "power" of the tongue, and that we will eat the
fruit of it.
In Isaiah 57:19, The Lord says that He
will "create" the fruit of our lips.
The point is....our words are powerful and
they are creative. That is because God made us in His likeness and He
created everything with His "Words". Take time to read the
first chapter of Genesis and underline how many times you see "and God said".....then
stop and think about what you are "creating" with your
words!
I know that most of you have already heard
all of this, but I also know that we forget about this from time to
time. So, my assignment (for right now) is to help us become more aware
of just how "powerful" and "creative" our words
really are. Let me give you an example.....Have you ever noticed that the
more you say, "I am so tired", you still feel
"tired"? But, if you say, "I will wait upon The Lord and He
will renew my strength"....."The joy of The Lord is my
strength"...."The Lord satisfies my mouth with good things and my
strength is renewed like the eagle's"...."I am strong in The Lord
and in the power of His might"...."The Lord gives strength to the
weary"...."The Lord is the strength of my life". Wow!
I am already feeling stronger just typing these covenant "truths",
and I know that if you will speak these "Words of God"
over yourself when you are tired, God will "watch over His Word
to perform it"! If you believe in your heart that what you say
will come to pass, then you will have whatsoever you say! (Mark 11:23).
This is just one "example", I
have many more to share....stay tuned in~~~~~~
Have
a Blessed Day!! ( Keep
it Simple! ) In
His Love, Luanne
