T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Oct.10th, 2002 T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries If we think about something long enough, then we will also begin to talk about it. This works in the negative and the positive, and the Bible tells us that what we "say" will have a definite effect on what will "come to pass" in our lives. Read Mark 11:22--26. So, our thought life is very important, much more so than a lot of people understand! Yesterday, I talked about the danger of having a "busy" mind. You could look at this way.......Having a "cluttered" mind. The definition of "clutter" (according to Webster), is "disorder"; out of place". This really ties in to what I am sharing about why we need to "simplify" our lives. Clutter in any area of our lives, whether it is in our homes, our work places, our garages, or our minds, things will begin to become complicated. When things are "complicated", then we become "frustrated". Frustration leads to "self-condemnation". That turns into "self-pity" which leads into depression.....this is a "never-ending" cycle! HELLO! I am convinced that it is so much better to let God show us how to "keep it simple" and therefore stop the "vicious cycle" before it starts. We need to get rid of the "clutter" in our lives and minds, so that we can have PEACE and be able to enjoy our lives the way Jesus wants us to. I encourage you to read Philippians 4:8&9. There is still so much more to talk about in this area, so I will continue with this tomorrow. Until then.......... Have a Blessed Day!! In His Love, Luanne We welcome your comments and prayer requests.
