I am going to continue with the message about our "spiritual wardrobe", and will be talking about the "armor of God". In fact, I have decided to just send you the "hanger" in this Encouragement. This is for those of you that have not had time to read it from your Bible, and even for those of you that have already read it.  It won't hurt anything for you to read it again in this message . . . one thing for sure, you cannot "overdose" on The Word of God!

 

Ephesians 6:11 - 18 (Amp. Bible) ~~~~~ "Put on God's WHOLE armor---the armor of a heavy-armed soldier, which God supplies --- that you may be able successfully to stand up against all of the strategies and the deceits of the devil.  For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood -- contending only with physical opponents--but against the despotisms, against the powers, against (the master spirits who are) the WORLD RULERS of this present darkness, against the forces of wickedness in the spiritual realm.  Therefore put on God's COMPLETE armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground in the evil day of danger, and having done all that the crisis demands, stand firmly in your place."

 

Today, I have only used verses 11 - 13, that let's us know what His armor is for, and why we should make sure to "put it on"!  In my next Encouragement, I will be talking about what the armor of God consists of (the different parts of the armor) . . . each one serves a definite "purpose", and that is why He refers to it as the "whole" armor, and the "complete" armor!  We must be sure that we don't forget and leave even ONE of them "hanging in the closet"!  I will be giving the scriptures about them in my next Encouragement ~~~~~~~~~
