Good
Morning!
The
reason I want to spend a little more time expounding on Proverbs 3:3 is
because I know how important it is for us to be obedient to the
"instruction" that the Lord has given us in this verse! It is
for our "benefit", so that we can have the favor of God on
our lives! Being "disobedient" to these instructions won't
keep you from going to heaven, but it will stop the "blessings of
God" from being manifested in your life!
Let's look at the "first"
instruction.....it says to be merciful. Why should we show mercy to
someone that does not deserve our mercy? I think you already know
what I am going to say next! The answer is~~~~because God has
shown, and continues to show, mercy to us even though we
don't deserve it. SELAH! That is a word that is used many
times in the book of Psalms....it means to "stop and think about
that"!
The next instruction in verse 3 is to be
"truthful". I know so many "Christians" that think
it is okay to tell somebody something that is not exactly "true", in
order to get something that they are desiring.....such as a "house",
or a "job", or "insurance", or a "boyfriend", or
"whatever will benefit them"! They think that it will be
to their "advantage".....wrong! Tomorrow I am going to
share something with you that will let you know that it is never to
your advantage to tell anything but the "truth"!
I know that I am taking a lot of time on
this one "subject"....but it will definitely be to your
"advantage" if you will be patient with me! See you
tomorrow~~~~
Have
a Blessed Day!!
(Stay "teachable"!)
In His Love, Luanne
