Good Morning!

In one of my previous encouragements, I mentioned maybe using Wednesday to share "songs" with you, and I will get back to that.  However, from the responses that I have been receiving, it seems like everyone wants to continue on with the study we are doing in Proverbs chapter 3.  Well, I am all for that...we are "gleaning" so much revelation, and we have only read the first four verses!  In fact, we are not even done with verses 3 & 4!  But, that's okay.....we don't need to be in any hurry.  I believe that many people make the mistake of just "scanning" over God's Word, and don't take time to "draw the Life out of His "life-changing" Word!  Jesus said that if we would "continue" in His Word, then we would know the truth and the truth would make us free!  Did you get that?  It is not just the "truth" that makes us free....it is the "truth" that we KNOW that makes us free!

Anyway, that is what I want to talk about today.....the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!  I am referring to the instruction that God gave us in verse 3.  If we want the "results" that are promised in verse 4, then we must choose to tell the truth no matter what!  I have to believe that all of you, like myself, want The Lord to "bless" you, but you need to know this.....God cannot "bless" a lie!  I am going to share something with you that happened to give me this "revelation"~~~~~

Some friends of mine were trying to get custody of the husband's children from a previous marriage.  All of us were praying for them, because we knew that those children would be better off with them than with the mother.  Time does not allow me to go in to all of the reasons.  Anyway, I attended the hearing and I knew that God was working in all of this.....but when the father was being questioned during the hearing, he did not answer "truthfully".  He thought if he told the truth, then it would keep him from getting custody of his children. Please hear what I am going to say!  Up until this point, I had felt the presence of God in the courtroom, but when the father did not answer the question truthfully....I actually felt the presence of God leave, and His hand was lifted off of this situation.  When it was all over, the Judge denied the request of the father to receive custody.  That judge did not know anything about the father....he had no way of knowing if he had lied or told the truth.  The "ruling" came because.....God cannot bless a lie!

There is a "happy" ending to this story.....I will share it with you tomorrow!  I hope no one is saying  "Ho-hum (yawn)"     I promise that you will be blessed when you hear how it turned out!

Have a Blessed Day!!       (It is the "truth" that we KNOW that makes us free!)            In His Love, Luanne
