Good Morning!

We have been talking about how we can be successful in every area of our lives. Yesterday, we looked at some things that would "hinder" us from achieving that goal.  I am sure that a lot of people reading that message were thinking.... "bummer"!  That is because we were looking at the negative side of the coin, but sometimes we need to be aware of the "negative" in order to desire and pursue the "positive"!  You can find this principle all through the Bible.

Anyway, today I am going to give you one more "hindrance" to success, and then I will lighten up on you.....and I can hear everybody whispering, "Thank you, Jesus!"

The fourth scripture I gave you in this series was James 4:10, which tells us that "if" we will humble ourselves before God, He will exalt us, lift us up and make our lives significant.  So, the "hindrance" to our success according to this scripture is
obvious.  God blesses "humility", but He cannot bless a spirit of "pride".  1Peter 5:6&7 tells us "how" to humble ourselves.  It is by casting all of our cares upon Him.  In other words, we say, "Lord, I need your help, without You, I can do nothing"

Monday, we will look at the "bottom line" in how to achieve our ultimate goal in "successful living".
