T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Nov. 14th

Good Morning!

In Tuesday's encouragement, I used four scriptures that will "help" us live successfully, because if we do what they tell us to do, we will have the blessing of God on our lives and our affairs.  Today, I am going to use the same scriptures to show us what can "hinder" our lives from being successful.  The Lord has made it so "simple".

Concerning Joshua 1:8,  If we do not choose to "do" what The Word of God tells us to do, this will hinder us, because God cannot "bless" disobedience.  In fact, James 1:22 says that if we know the Word, but are not "doers" of it, then we become deceived.

Concerning Proverbs 3:3&4, if we are not merciful and truthful, this will hinder us, because God cannot "bless" selfishness or dishonesty.  No matter how tempting it is to lie, thinking it will be to your advantage . . . . . . . GOD CANNOT BLESS A LIE.  He will remove His hand from that situation.  He is "truth" and there is no other way with Him.  Also, "selfishness" is the opposite of "love", and GOD IS LOVE.

Concerning Proverbs 16:3, if we will not commit our plans and affairs to Him, this will hinder us, because God is not obligated to "bless" our plans if they are not in agreement with His will.  He already has a "plan" for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11).

I am going to save James 4:10 for tomorrow.  There is so much to be said about this one!

Have a Blessed Day!!              In His Love,         Luanne
We welcome your comments and prayer requests.
