Good
Morning!
Now
that you all are "talking" to God on a personal level and receiving
so much JOY from having an on-going conversation with Him, let's go to the
next avenue into His "presence" ~~~~~~
#2.
Thank Him
This
should not be a hard thing for any of us to do, considering all that He has
done for us! However, some people do not stop and think about
"thanking" Him for every good thing that happens to them on a daily
basis. If something good happens to you, don't just think that it was a
"coincidence". James 1:16-17 says . . . "Do not err . . .
every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is
no variableness, neither shadow of turning". Please allow me
to "simplify" these scriptures without changing the
"truth" that is embedded in them. The Holy Spirit is
saying here . . . "Make no mistake about it . . . if anything
good happens to you or comes to you, then it is from your Heavenly Father and
it will always come from Him and no other source"! I love
the "simplicity of God's Word!
So,
when something good happens . . . don't just say "Thank God" or
"Thank goodness that this happened". I can remember when I used to
say "Thank goodness" when something turned out good. Have you
ever done that? Well, whose "goodness" are we thanking
when we say that? Isn't it strange, how we use certain
"phrases" and don't even think about whether or not they line
up with the Word of God? My point is this ~~~~ if you are truly
thankful about something, then thank the "source" of that goodness!
Instead of saying, "Thank God" or Thank goodness" . . . make it
personal! Say, "Thank you, Father" or "Thank you, Jesus'!
God "honors" a thankful heart, He talks about it all through His
Word. However, He wants us to be "verbal" about our
thanksgiving . . . "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth
"speaks" (Matt. 12:34)

Have
a Blessed Day!! (In His presence is fullness of JOY!)
