Morning!
We
have talked about what "faith" is and what it is not....we
have talked about what "hope" is and what it is not.....now,
let's talk about what "LOVE" is and what it is not!
First
of all, we need to understand that we are talking about God's kind of love,
not the "worldly" kind of love. Let me share with you what
the Holy Spirit revealed to me about God's kind of love (it is called Agape
love), and it is totally different from what most people think "love"
is.
One
day, I asked The Lord..."What did you mean when you commanded us to
"love others as you have loved us"? Instead of giving me a
direct "answer"...He gave me a "quiz"
So,
I am going to give all of you the same "quiz" He gave
me~~~~~
What is the opposite of darkness? If you said
"light".....right answer!
What is the opposite of
weakness? If you said "strength".....right answer!
What is the opposite of
lack? If you said "abundance".....right answer!
Then, He asked this question...are you
ready for this one?
What is the opposite of
LOVE? If you said "hate"......wrong answer!
Don't feel bad, I gave the wrong answer
too!
 That is because I
did not know that the "opposite" of God's kind of love is not
"hate"....it is "selfishness"! We have the
"mind-set" that as long as we don't "hate" someone, then
we are "keeping the love commandment"! Don't buy that
"lie" from the devil....if you do, then you will be tempted to be
"out of love" with the people you love the most (your spouse, your
children, your parents, your siblings, etc.)~~~~~Stay with me on this, and you
will see how "simple" it is to keep the one commandment that
Jesus gave to us!
