Good Morning!

Everything that Jesus said and did was for a purpose.  He was setting forth an example and a pattern for us to live by.  He was teaching us how we could live the "abundant life" that would be available to us through His death.  He was showing us His Plan for us to live free from any and every kind of bondage.  I don't know about you, but to me ...that is GOOD NEWS!

He set forth one of those examples when He was out there in the wilderness and Satan came to tempt Him.  Every time the devil "said" something to Him, He "said" to the devil "It is written"!  However, that is not all He "said".  He also "said" what it was that had been written.  (Matthew 4:1-11) Are we getting the picture?

When the devil comes to tempt you, accuse you, or condemn you, then you need to tell him...."It is written".  But, you cannot tell him "It is written" if you don't know, "what is written"!

That is why it is so important for you to get in to The Word of God for yourself.  If you "know" what God says about the situation, then instead of "listening to the devil", you can make the devil "listen to you"!!  I'm not done yet...more to come tomorrow!
