Good Morning!

I have been sharing with you how important it is to read The Word of God for yourself and find out what it really says, not what someone else tells you it says. 

I am reminded of how many times I heard people say, "The Bible says that God helps those who help themselves".  But when I started really reading The Word for myself,  I have not found that "phrase" anywhere in the Bible!  Actually, what I find is that God helps those who are in need and cannot help themselves (Psalms 46:1 and many other scriptures).  Later, I read somewhere that Benjamin Franklin was the one who said that.

If I had continued to believe what I first heard, then I would be trusting in "myself " to help me instead of trusting in God to be my  "help in time of need".... repeat (Psalms 46:1).

I encourage you today to read your Bible daily and let The Lord give you the help you need in every situation in your life.
