Morning!
I
want to continue talking about all of the "covenant" promises that
are found in the short (but powerful) song...HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!
The
reason that I want to take "line upon line" and "precept upon precept",
is so that God can "teach" us and give us understanding...(
Isaiah 28:9 & 10 ).
We
talked about the "first" line yesterday. The
"second" line says, "How great is our God....He is forever the same"!
Hebrews 13:8 tells us that Jesus does not "change", He is
the same yesterday, today and forever! In Malachi 3:6 God,
Himself speaks and says.."I am the Lord, and I do not change"!
We
live in a world where everything around us changes,
i.e. "prices", "weather", "circumstances", "Supreme
Court's rulings", "what is taught in our schools",
etc.
So,
it is so refreshing and encouraging to know that in the midst of all this, we
have a God that NEVER CHANGES!! He will take care of us regardless
of how high the "prices" get, or what the "weather" is, or
what our "circumstances" are, or what the "Supreme Court"
says, or even what they decide to "teach" in our schools! I
am not saying that we should not "vote" against the
"wrong" changes, but I am convinced that if we "teach" our
children the TRUTH at home, then that "Truth" will protect them from
the "error" that may be taught in school! That is
because, nothing and no one will be able to "change" God or His
WORD! However, God and His Word can "change" anything and
everything!!! Now that is GOOD NEWS, plain and simple!
