Good
Morning!
You
know what? I think that Christians need to have a regular
"check-up" to see if they have a "heart problem"....I
am including myself, of course! However, I am not talking about the
physical "organ" on the inside of us that pumps blood to our
veins. I am talking about something totally different. As for as I
know, my physical heart is healthy and functioning, but I still may have a
"heart problem" from time to time.
Let
me explain....The Bible tells us that God does not look on outward
appearances, He looks on the "heart" (1Samuel 16:7). That is
obvious that He is not talking about our "pump", He is talking about
our "attitudes and motivations". God is not nearly as
concerned about what we do as He is about why we do it!
The
Psalmist, David, prayed..."create in me a clean heart and renew a right
spirit within me". (Psalms51:10). That word "spirit" is
literally translated ATTITUDE! Think about it....do you
sometimes need an "attitude adjustment"? That is what I meant
by having a "heart problem" and going to The Word of God for
a regular "check-up"! There are so many scriptures in the
Bible concerning what The Lord has to say about our
"hearts", so I encourage you to.... "check
it out"!
We are coming up on what is known as
"Independance Day", so tomorrow I have something to share with
you about that! I know that this has been a rather lenghty
"encouragement"....maybe it will make up for me not sending one
yesterday!
Have
a Blessed Day!! (Do you have a "heart
problem"?) In His Love, Luanne
