Good
Morning!
Have
you ever had someone step on your toes? I am not referring to
someone "offending" you by what they said to you....I am talking
about having your real toe injured. If you have, then you can
remember how that pain in one toe caused your whole body to hurt! Isn't
that true?
I
am reminded of how many times my toes have been attacked (accidently,
of course) by my children and grandchildren. In fact, not only by
my own children and grandchildren, but by everyone else's children and
grandchildren! I even had a 150 pound Great Dane decide to step on my
toe, and it just happened to be a toe that I had stubbed on a concrete ledge
earlier. Talk about a double portion of PAIN!
I
realize that you all are not really interested in my long "history"
of toe injuries, but I happened to think back about it when I started this
message. So, now I will get to the point I want to make~~~~~
Just
as our natural bodies have different "members", such as toes,
fingers, etc. So it is with the "body of Christ". We, as
Christians, are each one an individual "member" of His body
(1Corinthians 12:12). So, if one member is hurting then the whole
"body" suffers (1 Corinthians 12:26).
If
we do not feel pain and compassion for a hurting member of the
"body of Christ", then we need to make sure that we are still
"connected" with the other members!
My
"personal" experience (that I shared with you about my toes) is what
really helped me to understand and get a revelation about this
"principle"!
Have
a Blessed Day!! (Stay
"connected"!)
In His Love, Luanne
