T.O.D.A.Y.’S ENCOURAGEMENT for June 20th, 2002

T.O.D.A.Y. Ministries

Good Morning!

Today we are going to approach the frustration issue in a positive way.  There are some things that we can do to avoid being frustrated, discouraged or disappointed.

One of the best things you can do to eliminate "all of the above" is to simplify your lives.  I know that I have talked about this before, but it is so important to get a revelation of this.  I know, from personal experience, that it works!  So I am going to share with you some things that can really make a difference in your daily life, in your health, and in your relationships.

1. Don't overcommit yourself.  Learn how to say "No".  When you are overcommitted, your priorities will automatically get out of order.  Result:  frustration

2. Don't expect perfection in yourself or your performance.  Result:  discouragement

3. Don't expect perfection in other people or their performance.  Result:  disappointment

4. Don't try to figure everything out (why? when? how? etc.).  Result:  confusion

5. Don't think that you need to be in control of everything and everybody.  Result:  ALL OF THE ABOVE!

Eventually this will lead to self-condemnation, self-pity, and even depression.  However, we can stop this chain reaction by simply asking God to show us where we need to make changes in our lives, and THEN allow Him to make those changes.  We cannot change ourselves, only The Holy Spirit can do this work, but if we sincerely desire to live our lives free from stress and frustration, He will show us how we can do just that.  Then we can live "blessed" instead of "burdened".  This will allow us to be a blessing to others!

Have a Blessed Day!!                        In His Love,        Luanne
We welcome your comments and prayer requests.
