A WORD IN DUE SEASON
One
day I finally got a revelation about the importance of making choices that are
in line with God's Word and His plan and purposes for me. The
"revelation" that I got was this ~~~~ If I do not make the choices
that God wants me to make early each morning, then I find that other people
and certain circumstances will have a chance to make my choices for
me that day! That is what happens if we do not start our day
off by being "covenant minded"! The choices that I make each
day, I make out loud! I talk "covenant talk", and that keeps
me "covenant minded"! I am not trying to draw attention to
myself by telling you this . . . just the opposite. I want to draw your
attention to the fact that you have a COVENANT with God!
For
example ~~~~ do you ever find yourself thinking about what you DON'T have?
Those thoughts come from the enemy of your soul. The Bible says his name
is satan, and is your adversary. He works overtime to get you to CHOOSE
to be "lack minded" instead of "covenant minded"! When
he brings those thoughts to my mind, this is what I say to him ~~~~~
"devil, don't talk to me about what I DON'T have . . . let me tell you
what I DO have! I have a COVENANT with God"! The
reason that I can be quick to tell him that is because I remember the choices
that I made early that day! One of those choices was to speak out of my
mouth ~~~ "Lord, I choose to acknowledge you as my Shepherd, and by
faith, I receive your covenant promise to give me PROVISION, PROTECTION
and DIRECTION in every area of my life today! I choose to believe your
covenant promise to provide and supply ALL of my needs today"!
Talking "covenant talk" builds up our confidence, trust and faith in
God and in the integrity of His Word!
I
will be sharing more about "choices", and please understand this . .
. the only reason that I am sharing with you about the choices that I
personally make, is just to let you know what works for me, and it will
work for you! If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then
you have a Covenant with God! The Lord is giving you a "Word in due
season"!
Because
of my ministry schedule, I won't be sending Encouragements out on Wednesdays.
