Morning!
The reason that I am so
late getting this sent out today is because AOL is working with me to make
sure that the person that has been reporting me to them will not be able to
disrupt my service again. Praise The Lord!
Before
we get into the "check-list" to see if we are keeping the
"Love Commandment", I want us to think about some things . . . first
of all, the kind of love that God has commanded us to walk in, is not
the "world's" kind of love. It is AGAPE love, it is God's
love, which is "unconditional love"! The Lord never commands
us to do something that He has not given us the ability to do! He has
given us the ability to love like He loves and you can find it in Romans 5:5
which tells us that God has put His love in our hearts! So,
we have "no excuses" . . . we don't get to say, "Well, I just
can't love some people the way God loves them". Yes, you
can, because he has given you the ability to do it. It all depends on
whether or not you choose to be OBEDIENT! Remember this, to love someone
the way that God's loves everyone, is just to see them as "valuable and
precious to God"! How hard is that? You do not have to
"love" or even "like" someone's behavior in order
to love them. Think about it ~~~~~ God does not always love OUR behavior,
but He loves US. You do not always love your children's behavior,
but that doesn't mean that you don't love them!
The
bottom line here is this . . . God has commanded us to love others the
same way that He loves us, and He has given us the ability to keep this
commandment. So now, the ball is in our court, what are we going to do
with it? This kid knows that I need the covenant blessings of God in my
life, and I have a reverential fear of The Lord, so whatever He tells me
to do . . . I'm gonna DO IT!
I
don't know about you, but I enjoy reaping the "benefits" of
OBEDIENCE! Things like . . . peace, and joy, and health, and
prosperity, and good relationships, and favor with God and other people, and
good success, and the list goes on! Such a deal! Right?
All I have to do is just "DO WHAT GOD TELLS ME TO DO"!
Hummm,
I was just going to lay a "foundation" before we started building on
1Corinthians 13:4, but I think I laid a bigger foundation than I had planned.
That must be because The Lord was laying the foundation today . . . not
me! Remember, I just work here, I just type whatever the Holy
Spirit tells me to type! Maybe we will get to the "check-list"
