Good
Morning!
I am still talking about
how important it is for us to be "obedient" to do what God
tells us to do, so that we can receive His "covenant blessings" in
our lives.
I have found out, in my
walk with The Lord, that it seems harder for people to be obedient
to the "Love Commandment" than it is for them to be obedient to
other things that The Lord tells them to do. That is because it requires
"dying to the flesh"! They don't have the revelation
that it is the one commandment that "assures" them of being
successful in every area of their lives . . . LOVE NEVER FAILS!
I am going to share with
you what 1Corinthians 13:4-7 says, so that we can use it as a "check-up
list" to find out whether or not we are keeping this commandment! I
am going to type it out, word for word from the Amplified Bible ~~~~~
"Love
endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over
with jealousy; is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself
haughtily. Love is not conceited --- arrogant and inflated with pride; it is
not rude (unmannerly), and does not act unbecomingly. Love does NOT insist on
it's own rights or its own way, for it is NOT self-seeking; it is not
touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it ---
pays no attention to a suffered wrong. Love does not rejoice at
injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
Love bears us under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to
believe the best of every person; its hopes are fadeless under all
circumstances and it endures everything without weakening".
Tomorrow, I am going to set
up the "check- list", listing them in the order that they were given
in the above verses and expounding on them. I believe that if we will
stay "teachable", we are going to find this to be
very "thought-provoking", causing us to do some
"soul-searching", which could be "life-changing"!
I am looking forward to us going down the "list" together!
Note! If you do not
wish to receive my encouragements . . . please send me an email and just put
"unsubscribe" in the subject line.
Have
a Blessed Day!!
( LOVE NEVER FAILS! )
