T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Jan. 30, 2006

Morning!
I
have been talking about "peace-stealers" (things that rob you of the
peace that Jesus intended for you to have, and paid the price
for you to have it). Every "peace-stealer" that I listed and
talked about originates in and comes from the "spirit of FEAR"!
The "born-again" children of God do not have to live in fear,
because He has not given us a "spirit of
fear'....(2Timothy 1: 7)! I encourage you to read that scripture, and
you will find out what He has given us to keep that spirit of fear from
operating in our lives! Think about it! The three things that
God mentions in that scripture are "security-guards" (I like to
call them "peace-keepers") that protect us from FEAR! What
are they? POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND! Somebody
ought to be shouting "Halleluiah"!!!
For
every "peace-stealer" that the devil has for us....Jesus has a
"peace-keeper" for us, and that is what I want to talk
about now! As I list these different scriptures, I encourage you to
think about how they relate to the above scripture...2Timothy 1:7~~~
I am going to start with
the MIND first, and then we will talk about the other two.
PEACE-KEEPERS:
#1. Isaiah 26:
3....The Lord will keep you in perfect "peace" if you
will keep your MIND on Him! You may be saying, "How can I keep my mind
on God all the time when I have other things to think about"? My
answer to you is this...how can you not be reminded of Him at all
times? Are you breathing? Then thank Him for that breath of
life! When you are "thanking Him" for something, you are
"thinking" about Him!
That brings us to
Peace-keeper #2~~~
#2. Philippians
4:6.... Don't be "anxious" about a situation, just pray and thank
God for taking care of that situation, and then the PEACE of
God, that by-passes your own understanding will "guard" your
MIND! See? There is that "security-guard", just like I
told ya!
 That brings us to
Peace-keeper #3...and guess what? It is the very next verse!
I stand "amazed" at how awesome the Holy Spirit is....I just put Him
in the "driver's seat" when I start typing these encouragements.
Wow! Look what He has done with this one! To be
