Good Morning!
What will you be wearing
today? (text message: Ephesians 6:
11 - 18)
Today, I am going to finish up my message about
the "armor of God", and I am going to type out for you
what is written in the last verse of our text concerning
this "armor". The Holy Spirit had a reason and a
purpose for "including" this last verse . . . it lets us
know why we need to be wearing the "armor" at all
times! It is actually a "continuation" of all of the
instructions that He gave us and He started those
instructions with verse 10, so I am going to include
that verse before I type out the last verse concerning
the "armor of God".
Ephesians 6:10 . . . "in conclusion, be strong
in the Lord ---- be empowered through your union with
Him; draw your strength from Him ---- that strength
which HIS boundless might provides". Then He tells us
what to "put on" and "take up", and we have covered all
of that in my previous messages about the "armor". Now
I want us to get a revelation of that "conclusion".
Verse 18 is meant to be a "continuation" of verse 17
which tells us to take the sword of the Spirit, which is
the Word of God . . . "praying always, at all
times ---on every occasion, in every
season ---- in the Spirit, with all manner of
prayer and entreaty. Keep alert and "watch" with strong
purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all
the saints"! (Ephesians 6:18 Amp. Bible)
I encourage you to take time to "reflect" on
what the different parts of the "armor" are, and apply
them to this "instruction" about PRAYER. Then, you will
understand how they work together to make your prayer
life and intercession more "effective"! I expounded on
all of them in previous Encouragements . . . the "belt,
the vest, the shoes, the hat, the shield and the
sword"! If you did not save them, you can find them in
the Archives on our web site.
You know what? I think that in my next
Encouragement, I want to "expound" on what The Lord has
to say about the rest of the verses in that chapter . .
. I have an "ulterior motive"!
