T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Dec. 17th, 2002 T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries What a "joy" it is to know that we can communicate with our Heavenly Father without a sense of guilt or condemnation! That is because of what Jesus did for us . . . . . . He made this possible through the "finished" work at the cross! There is nothing that you can "do" to make yourself "worthy" to come into the presence of Almighty God, except to receive The Lord Jesus into your heart. Can you see the "simplicity" of the gospel? Any time that you are feeling guilty or under condemnation, you need to know that this is not coming from God. No matter how long you have been a Christian, or how mature you think you are in The Lord, you still need to hear this, because all Christians have the same common enemy, and this is one of the weapons that He uses against all of us. The Holy Spirit will "convict" us when we are doing wrong, but He will never "condemn" us! The Word of God tells us what to do when we are convicted . . . 1John 1:9, just admit and confess it (to The Lord, not people), and then receive His forgiveness! The reason that I put it that way, is because in this particular context . . . God is the only one that can forgive you and "cleanse you from all unrighteousness". You don't need some other person to "mediate" between you and God . . . . . Jesus, Himself, is your "mediator". (Hebrews 7:25 . . . . He is ever living to make intercession for us) Amplified Bible.
