Good Morning!

We have been talking about keeping our prayer life "simple", and about the fact that there are different kinds of prayer.  We discussed the prayer of supplication/petition, (asking God to do something for us), and this is the one that is probably used the most . . . . . but there is so much more that should be included in our "communication" with The Lord.

Today, let's look at the prayer of "thanksgiving". This is a way to talk to Him that can be done at anytime, all the time, and anywhere! Every time something good happens to us, we can tell The Lord, "Thank you!".  Even when we find ourselves in a "not-so-good" situation, we can thank Him for being there with us and delivering us out of it.

1 Thessalonians 5:18(Amp.) tells us to thank God "in" everything, no matter what the circumstances may be . . . . . . . Read this and notice that it does not say to thank him "for" everything bad that happens.  This is called "rightly dividing the Word of Truth" (2Timothy 2:15).

No matter what is going on in your life, you can find something to be thankful for.  You can start every morning, when you wake up . . . . . thank Him that you are alive and breathing, and that He has given you another day to be a blessing to somebody else!

This is how we come into His presence . . . . . "enter into His gates with thanksgiving" . . . . . . . Psalms 100:4.

We need to continually have an attitude of gratitude!!

 It is still "under construction".

Have a Blessed Day!!              In His Love,         Luanne
