T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Dec. 10th

Good Morning!

Yesterday, we started talking about "simplifying" our prayer life, and we touched on just one "type" of prayer; the prayer of supplication or petition (when we are asking for something or making a request).  There are other types of prayers, such as the prayer of thanksgiving, the prayer of intercession, the prayer of submission, dedication and commitment . . . . . . . . . . even Praise and Worship is included. Prayer, in any form, is simply
"communicating" with God!

We should communicate with our Heavenly Father, the same way we would talk to a loving "earthly father".  If we are trying to "convince" God of our "worthiness", or our "unworthiness", (whichever the case may be), we are wasting our time and His.  The Lord already knows everything there is to know about us!  He knows that without Jesus, we are nothing, but He also knows that if we have "received" Jesus, then His blood has made us
"worthy" . . . . . . that is the only reason why we can come "boldly" before the throne of God!  However, please remember this . . . . . God will hear the prayer of a repentant sinner that is asking Jesus to come into their hearts and be the Lord of their life!!!

This is going in a little bit different direction than I had planned to talk about, but, Praise God for the leading of the Holy Spirit!

Tomorrow, we will look into some of the other types of prayer.  I get excited when I start sharing about this "subject", because I know that it was "life-changing" for me when The Lord began to show me how "simple" our prayer life can be!!
