T.O.D.A.Y.’S ENCOURAGEMENT for Aug. 9th, 2002

Good Morning!

I want to share with you some encouraging words from the Bible, and ask you to take time to read these scriptures for yourself when you can.

In 1Corinthians chapter one, verses 8 and 9, it says that The Lord will establish you, keep you steadfast, give you strength, and guarantee your vindication against all accusations or indictments so that you will be guiltless (that is in verse 8).  Then verse 9 says that God is faithful, reliable, ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on!  Stop and think about it...is that Good News or what?

We are supposed to totally "depend" upon God alone, and not on anyone else.  He will never disappoint us, and He will never let us down.  The Lord spoke something into my spirit recently that was life changing for me... People can only "let you down" if you are leaning on them (or depending on them).

I encourage you, today, to "lean" on Him; "depend" entirely upon Him, for everything that you need.  Remember this:  No one can "let you down" unless you are leaning on them!
