T.O.D.A.Y.’S ENCOURAGEMENT for Aug. 8th, 2002

Good Morning!

When I announced that I was going to "re-share" some of the previous encouragements, I invited people to let me know what they wanted me to write about again.  Thank you for your response.  I will honor those requests, and if you have not made a special request, you can do so at any time. Please be patient with me...I will get around to yours.

The following is in answer to one of those requests:

"Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called the sons of God" (1John 3:1).   The moment that you accepted Jesus as your Savior, God became your Father and you became His son or daughter.  Please get a revelation of this... You are a child of God!  He loves you no matter what you have done, or will ever
do, and He has a wonderful, beautiful and good plan for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11)

God is not an abusive parent!  He will never inflict abuse of any kind on His children.  If you have been abused, or if you have been hurt, it did not come from God.

I encourage you, today, to let your Heavenly Father, heal the wounds that you have.  He will do what we as natural parents would do..."Kiss it and make it go away".
