T.O.D.A.Y.’S ENCOURAGEMENT for Apr.19th, 2002

T.O.D.A.Y. Ministries

Good Morning!

In the eighth chapter of Nehemiah, we are told that the Joy of The Lord is our strength.  So let's look at some of the definitions of the word "strength".........Power, Might, Ability, Dominion, AND, Authority!  No wonder the enemy works overtime trying to steal our "Joy".

We have been "crowned" with Joy.... The Word says, "everlasting Joy shall be upon our heads".... Paul talks about a "crown of rejoicing".  A crown speaks of Royalty and Authority.  It is worn by people who "Reign and Rule".  Well, boys and girls, THAT'S US!!  "Us" being, me and you and every person that believes in The Lord Jesus Christ!

The Word of God tells us:  that we are a Royal Priesthood (1Peter 2:9).  Jesus gave us Authority (Luke 9:1) and we have been made to Reign as Kings in this life (Rom. 5:17).  I have said this before and will keep on saying it.... We need to know who we are in Christ and what we have in Him.

For many years the enemy was able to rob me of my Joy (which is my strength, power, might, and Authority) because I let him take my "crown".  I did not have the revelation on this.  However.... Now when I feel my joy leaving, I know my "crown" is slipping, so I just
reach up there, take hold of my crown and make sure it is fixed securely on my head!  (That may sound foolish to some people, but actually it is just simple child-like faith).  Jesus said, "Unless you come as a little child, you can not enter the Kingdom".  Which
brings us back to where we started.... Matthew 6:33.

The next thing that Jesus told us to seek (aim for, make it our goal, focus on to understand) is "His Righteousness".  It was life-changing for me when I found out that God's Righteousness is just simply His way of "being and doing right".  It is ...The way He does things, in other words, the way He operates.  Here is the good part...We can tap into this by "simply" asking Him, "Lord, show me thy ways" (Psalms 25:4).

I have been so blessed this week while sharing with all of you the things that I have learned (and am still learning) about how to keep my walk with The Lord "simple and stress-free"!

Have a Blessed Weekend.......(and don't let your "crown" slip!)
In His Love,         Luanne

We welcome your comments and prayer requests.
