T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Sept. 05, 2008
T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries
14745 Merrilltown #1611 Austin TX 78728 Good Morning!
I
want to continue the message that The Lord has for us concerning the scripture
I gave you in my last Encouragement . . . "Many are the afflictions of
the righteous, BUT The Lord delivers us out of them ALL". This is a
"right now" message for all of us, so let's have "ears to hear
what The Spirit is saying to the church"! I am aware of the
fact that the "first" part of that scripture is NOT "good
news" to our ears. However, it is a fact! But wait! The
"last" part of that scripture IS "good news"
and sounds like music to our ears! The last part is not just a
"fact" . . . it is the TRUTH and it is a COVENANT
"promise" of God to us! The word "delivers", in this
verse, is "all-inclusive" and "on-going"!
God's "deliverance" for us, in any situation, is always "past,
present and future"! The Apostle Paul confirms this in 2
Corinthians 1:10 . . . I am going to be sharing that verse later in this
message~ ~~~
If
anybody in the world really knows about having MANY afflictions,
it would be Paul! In fact, I am sure that he experienced MANY more
afflictions than I have experienced! In fact, he said that some of them
caused him to "despair" of his very life. He tells about some
of them in verses 8 and 9, and he says that in the midst of those
afflictions, it was revealed to him that he must keep on trusting in the Lord
and not in himself! Think about this ~~~~~ it wasn't just him that
was being "afflicted", but also his co-workers and team-mates in his
ministry! Hummm . . . verrry interesting! You can read those
two verses for yourself (The Amplified Bible really "clarifies" this
much better than some of the other versions), but the facts are the
"same", no matter what version you have!
Allow
me to "paraphrase" verse 10 ~~~~ Paul said that The Lord
"delivered us" (past tense), and that He "does deliver us"
(present tense), and that He will "deliver us again" (future
tense)! I have experienced all of these "promises"! The
Lord has "delivered" me from MANY afflictions (past tense) . .
. He is still "delivering" me from MANY afflictions (present
tense), and I totally trust Him to "continue to deliver
me" (future tense), because I have His COVENANT promise to
"deliver" me out of them ALL! You know what? You
have that "same" COVENANT promise!!! I want to
really encourage you to SAY this every day . . . "MANY ARE
THE AFFLICTIONS OF THE RIGHTEOUS, BUT THE LORD DELIVERS ME OUT OF THEM ALL! How
many?
Have
a Blessed Weekend!!
(ALL means ALL!)
In His Love, Luanne
