T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Sept. 19, 2007

Good
Morning!
I
don't know if any of you have had time to read all of the 4th chapter of
Philippians yet, but I do want to encourage you to do that whenever you
can. You will be blessed! There are so many verses in there that can
really give us a positive perspective on how God's Word works!
For
example ~~~ In my last Encouragement, I expounded on vs. 6 & 7.
Well, the very next verse is giving us further instruction on how we can
allow the Peace of God to put a guard over our hearts and minds.
Oh, I just love the Word of God and how The Holy Spirit makes it so
"simple" and yet so "profound"! Can I get an Amen?
Not only does vs. 6 & 7 tell us what NOT to think about, but
then verse 8 tells us how to "take those wrong thoughts
captive"! Remember? 2 Corinthians 10:5 instructs us to
"take our thoughts captive in obedience to Christ" . . . right?
Well, verse 8 of Philippians chapter 4 tells us HOW to do that! This is
why we need to desire to take in the "whole" counsel of God!
That way, we aren't just reading about WHAT we are supposed to do, but HOW we
can do it!
Keeping
in mind what we talked about concerning vs. 6 & 7 (it was all about
what NOT to continue to think about) . . . the very next verse tells us what
we DO need to be thinking about! That is how we can take our
"negative" thoughts captive! I believe The Lord
wants me to walk us through that verse in my next Encouragement, which will be
on Friday. I am excited about how The Holy Spirit is giving us
"revelation" of God's Word that can change the way we think!
After all, everything that happens to us begins with a "thought"
that will eventually become a "word" spoken out of
our mouth! That is why we need to stop and "think" about
what we are "thinking" about!
Thank You, Father, for
loving us so much that you are even concerned about our "thoughts"!
*Note: If you
have been blessed by these Encouragements, then please "pray" about
becoming a monthly partner with us. There is no set amount to send in
order to become one of our monthly partners. God will bless your
"seed" regardless of the amount, so be expecting a harvest from it!
Our mailing address is
at the top of this Encouragement.
Have
a Blessed Day!! ( "Think" about what you are
"thinking" about!! ) In His Love, Luanne
