Morning!
I
pray that this message is going to make a difference in somebody's life ~~~~
It is all about how powerful our words are and what we can do to keep our
"words" in line with The WORD of God!
We
need to ask The Lord to put a "guard" over our mouth (Psalm 141:3).
The Holy Spirit reminded me about what a "guard" does, in the
natural sense. When a "guard" has been assigned to protect
people or properties, his job is to "alert" someone of the
trespasser or danger that is there that could be harmful to them. Right?
With that in mind, then please think about the rest of what The Lord has to
say about this.
The
devil is a "trespasser" and his only intention is to bring harm to
us. He comes to "rob, kill and destroy" (John 10:10). The only
way that he can do that is through the "words of our mouth", and so
he has to put a "thought" in our minds in order to get us to speak
it out of our mouth! Everything we "say" starts with a
"thought". That is why Jesus said..."Take no thought . . .
SAYING (Matthew 6:31). If we don't TAKE the thought, then we won't SAY
it! If we DO take the thought and think on it long enough, it will
eventually get into our heart, and Jesus said that "Out of the abundance
of the heart, the mouth speaketh" (Matthew 12:34). That
is why God's Word tells us to "take our thoughts captive" in
obedience to Jesus (2Corinthians 10:5).
Now,
let's start from the beginning ~~~~ Can you see how just asking The Lord
to "set a guard over our mouth" can ALERT us so that we can
stop the vicious "cycle" and be able to disappoint the devil's
devices and cancel out his plans? There is more to this message, and I
will talk about that tomorrow!
