I will continue on with what I have been talking about in my earlier Encouragements ~~~~ one of the things that Joyce mentioned in that devotional I read recently, was a "truth" and a "principle" that I have been sharing throughout all of my Encouragements. Which is . . . the "words" that we speak out of our mouth are "powerful"! They can "impact" our lives and also the lives of others, for GOOD or for BAD! Are you "paying attention"? I am not wanting to bring "condemnation" on you, just wanting to "alert" you to . . . think about what you are thinking about. Because, every word that we speak starts with a "thought"! For many years, after I would say something that was not pleasing to God, eventually I would feel regret having said it and I would repent. Then, it got to where I was "recognizing" it even sooner than before. Then one day, it "dawned" on me that I had been "alerted" to it more and more quickly than before. I asked The Lord about "why" it had become so easy and immediately for me to "recognize" my wrong thoughts and take them captive in order to keep them from coming out of my mouth. He told me . . . Because, you started doing what you saw in My Word that David did. You started "asking" me to set a guard over your mouth. You have "asked" according to my Word, and you have "thanked" me for doing it before you saw the "manifestation" of it. So, I have just simply done what I said I would do. I have "watched over my Word to perform it"! Isn't God just so awesome?! I still have some things I want to share about what He showed me concerning the word "guard". I believe that what I am going to share will help you with the "words of your mouth" and also with the "thoughts in your mind"! I will give you scriptures from God's Word that will connect all of this together!
