Morning!
It is The Lord's desire
for His people to "rest in Him", and He has given us His
"covenant" promise that we can do just that, but we have to do it
His "way". We can be in that place of "rest",
no matter what is going on around us . . . IF we will only
"believe" His covenant promises concerning things and situations
that would try to keep us from "entering in"! Hebrews 4: 1-11
talks about this "rest" (as do many other scriptures). So,
today I am going to use one of the songs The Lord gave me about this.
Remember that the music to this song is "upbeat" . . . it is
not a "dirge"! Read Webster's definition of "dirge"

If you will read Hebrews
4:1-11 before you read the "song" . . . it will mean a lot more to
you! The kind of "rest" that God desires for us is not
just taking the day off from work or taking a "nap" . . . it is a
"place" you can come to in your walk with The Lord! It is
a "place " of peace that passes all understanding . . . it is a
"place" where you stop "struggling" and start
"believing" God's COVENANT! It is a "place" where
you quit "trying" to get God to do something, and begin to
"trust" Him to do what He has promised you He would do! It is
a "place" that will bring you into what God calls His
definition of R&R! I got really excited when He told me what
"His" definition was! It is not "exactly" what
the world defines as R&R! I will save this for tomorrow!
