Morning!
Getting
back to what we talked about earlier this week (which was
"rehearsing" and "re-hashing" past and future
conversations in your mind), I really want us to get a revelation of how futile
and fruit-less this is! Why waste your time thinking about
"past" conversations, when there is no way you can go back and change them?
As far as "rehearsing" future conversations with someone, that also
is a waste of time.....you have no way of knowing what they might say.
If you are planning on having a future conversation with someone, then just do
what The Word tells you to do, and that is to let The Lord give you what
to say (Matthew 10:19-20).
Here
is something to think about.....when you think on things that are not what God
has told you to think about, then it is like the devil makes a tape recording
of your thoughts. Then, he "re-plays" that tape over
and over and over in your mind!
Well,
just as you have a "stop" button on your natural tape player that
you push when you are through listening to a tape, you have a spiritual "stop
button" that you can push to stop the devil's tape from playing in your
mind. It is called PRAISE!
Psalms 8:2 tells us that
"Praise" will silence and stop the enemy and avenger!
