T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Sept.27th, 2002 T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries Today, I want to encourage you with these words from The Bible. (1Thessalonians 5:18)......"Thank God in everything---no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks; for this is the "will" of God for you who are in Christ Jesus." So many Christians are frustrated because they really want to do God's will, but they don't always know what His will is. Well, in this scripture, He is very specific about one of the things He wants us to do. However, some people could read this, and not understand what it is saying. Please notice that it says to thank God "in" all situations, not "for" everything that happens in your life! God does not expect us to thank Him "for" things that "steal, kill, and destroy". Those things are from the devil.....( Read John 10:10 ). None of those things are the will of God for you! He is telling us, that even when the circumstances that we find ourselves "in" are not good, we can still find something to be thankful for and express our thanksgiving to Him. So, I encourage you to, always and at all times, maintain an "attitude of gratitude" no matter what is going on around you.
