T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Sept.25th, 2002 T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries In Isaiah 26:3, The Lord tells us that if we will keep our mind stayed upon Him, then He will keep us in "perfect peace". I used to read this scripture and think....How is this possible? You may be thinking the same thing. However, this is not as difficult as it may seem. If you will read verse 4, it explains how we can do it........."Trust in the Lord---commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him continually; for the Lord God is an everlasting rock---the Rock of Ages". All of us are just naturally involved in the different cares of our daily lives. There are situations and problems that arise on a regular basis that require our mental attention. God knows this and understands..."stuff happens"! Car problems, money problems, job problems, people problems, problems with the kids, church problems, traffic problems, marriage problems, and the list goes on.......BUT, He says that we can have "peace" no matter what is going on. When you find yourself in one of these "problem situations", stop and think about what you are thinking about! Don't keep thinking about the "stuff" that is stealing your peace.....Start thinking about The Lord and His promise to give you peace, and then "trust" Him to do that. Keep your mind focused on Him and His Word, and "peace" will come. You will have to make a "decision" to do this. Open your mouth and say: Lord, I will think about your goodness, I will think about your mercy, I will think about your faithfulness, I will think about your love! You can have the "Peace that passes understanding". Have a Blessed Day!! In His Love, Luanne We welcome your comments and prayer requests.
