T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Sept.18th, 2002 T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries This week we are looking into a very familiar scripture, Matthew 6:33........"seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." We have already established, from Romans 14:17, that the Kingdom of God is.......righteousness, peace and joy. These are the things that we need to "focus" on. Righteousness, in this context, is our "right standing" with God. (Remember, that this scripture also speaks of seeking "His" righteousness, which we will talk about later). We are made righteous by the blood of Jesus, not by our works. Our righteousness is from God, not ourselves. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, then you are a child of God. Always remember this.... you are righteous because of "who you are", not because of "what you do"! That is why it is so important to know who you are in Him. If you don't believe that you are "right with God", then you will have a problem receiving the other two "keys", which are.....Peace and Joy. We will talk about those tomorrow. Have a Blessed Day!!
