T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Sept.13th, 2002 T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries There are so many people who have low self-esteem, and a poor self-image. God does not want this for His children! He wants us to feel good about ourselves! I know that the Bible tells us not to think "too highly" of ourselves, which simply means that we are not supposed to think that we are better than someone else. To do that, is to be haughty and full of pride. God does not want us to be like that either. God is all about "balance"......the devil is all about "ditches". He will try to keep you in one or the other at all times. If he can't get you into "low self esteem", he will try to get you over into "self-exaltation". Both of these are "ditches" and "traps", or you could say "the pits". James 4:10(Amp.) tells us that, if we will stay humble before God, He will exalt us and make our lives "significant"! The Lord, Himself, will do this for us......we don't have to try to do it ourselves. Humility is not a weakness! It is a strong "fruit of the Spirit" that is developed as we are obedient to God, and to be obedient, is to trust Him and believe what He says. No where in The Word of God, does it say that you should think of yourself as "less than"! The Lord says that you were created in His image. So I encourage you today, to look in the mirror and say out loud, "I am important to God! I have worth and value in Him! He makes my life "significant"!" Have a Blessed Weekend!!
