I
am really enjoying this "assignment" that The Lord has given me
to get us to really think about our "spiritual" wardrobe! Most people spend
at least some time "shopping" for clothes for their family or
themselves, and that is okay . . . Father God wants us to have nice things to
wear. But He also wants us to spend time to "shop" for the
clothes that He has designed for us! We can't do this kind of
"shopping" at the department stores . . . we have to go to "The
Word of God" in order to find them! As we go along with this, I
will give you "street addresses" of God's spiritual
"boutiques"! Once you get there, you will find out that you don't
have to pay for any of these garments! They are a "gift" to
you from God! Jesus already picked up the bill . . . He even
"delivered" them to you and they are hanging in your
"spiritual closet"! All you have to do is just "PUT
THEM ON"! I am not trying to be "frivolous" about all of
this (actually, I know how important this "revelation" is), but
I also love the way the Holy Spirit is "revealing" it to us!
Not only is He going to be showing us the "garments" that He
has given us in order to have "victory" in our lives . . . He is
doing it in such a way that we can "enjoy" discovering what we have
in our "spiritual closet"! 1Timothy 6:17 says that "He
gives us all things richly to enjoy"!
Now
. . . back to the "garments" ~~~~ In my last Encouragement, I listed
three of those garments and I want to take them, one by one, and expound on
them. Then I will talk about some of the other ones. So, first of
all, I want to talk about the "garment of Praise"! I,
personally, believe that this is the one that we should "put on"
first thing in the morning and then "leave" it on 24/7 . . . I
like to think about it as an "undergarment"! We should be
wearing it at all times, no matter what else we "put on"!
Even before we "put on" the Armor of God! I will share more
about that later, when I start talking about God's Armor! The reason
that I believe we should have our "garment of Praise" on
continually, is because of what God's Word says about it . . . Hebrews 13:15
tells us that we are to continually be offering up "Praise" and
thanksgiving to Him! There is much more to share about this
"awesome" garment that God has given us, but I will have to continue
it on Friday. I will be talking about the different
"occasions" that you need to be sure that you have your
"garment of Praise" on! I really encourage you to go to
the "street addresses" that I have given you today!
