Morning!
In my encouragement for Sept. 19.... I started sharing,
once again, about how we need to "simplify" our lives. In my
encouragement for Sept. 26....I listed some of the different areas of our life that
can become "cluttered" and/or "complicated". All of
these messages are available to you to read again..........just go to our web
site and click on to the "Archive" link. I really encourage
you to do that!
We have talked about most of those "areas",
and will continue to talk about them in future encouragements. However,
one of those "areas" is the one that I want to talk about
today............our "prayer life". Many people struggle with
this area, simply because they do not understand how to "keep it
simple"!
Once you realize that "prayer" is simply
"communicating" with God, you can relax and do what The Bible tells
us to do..........."come boldly to the throne of grace, that
we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews
4:16)
There are many different kinds of
"prayer".....and most people think only about the prayer
of "petition" (asking God for something), but there is also
the prayer of "thanksgiving"......the prayer of "consecration
and dedication".......the prayer of "intercession" for others,
etc. None of these prayers need to be "complicated"!
God is "real", and He wants us to be
"real" when we talk to Him! More about this
