T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Oct. 23, 2003

Morning!
Anyone
who has made a trip with their "kids", has probably heard them
say...."Are we there yet?, Are we there yet?". I know that
some of you reading this may not have children, but all of us are "God's
kids", and we are on a journey toward finding out how to
"simplify" our lives. We would like to make it a "quick
trip", but we need to remember that when we are learning about the things
of God we must be patient! His way of getting from point "A"
to point "B" is a process....one step at a time.....one day at a
time! I know that I repeat myself many times, but we "learn"
from "repetition". God, Himself, is the one that set up this
"principle".
Now,
that we have established that, I told you that I would share with you some of
the ways that the Lord has helped me in the area of our "thoughts".
So, referring back to the previous "encouragements".... When the
devil starts playing his "tape" concerning your past or your
future, here are some things that you can do>>>>
First
of all, you need to recognize where it is coming from and begin to
"resist" him immediately! Open your mouth and tell
him..."My past is under the blood, and my future is in God's hands!" I
encourage you to say that "out loud" right now....Say this right
now....."My past is under the blood, and my future is in God's
hands!". Then keep on saying that over and over again, instead of
listening to his "tape" over and over again!
Something
else you can do, especially at night when you go to bed, is ....put on a
Praise tape or cd, and that will "drown out" the voice of the
enemy! According to Psalms 8:2 and related to Matthew 21:16, God
says that Praise is the "strength" that stops and silences
the avenger! It does not get any more "simple" or "
powerful" than that!!!
