Morning!
Yesterday,
we talked about allowing our minds to be "cluttered" by thinking on
past conversations we have had, that we cannot change...and also thinking
about future conversations, that may or may not even happen. What a
waste of time!! Don't you agree?
Today,
we are going to talk about another way to "waste our
time" and forfeit our "peace and joy"....and that is to allow
ourselves to think about our past and future "situations". The devil
wants us to feel "guilty" about our past, and "fearful"
about our future. This is "side two" of the tape that he plays
over and over in our minds.
Regarding
our "past", he says, "why did you do that? and why did you say
that?". Regarding our "future", he says, "what are
you going to do about that bill that needs to be paid? and what if God doesn't
answer your prayer? and what if this happens? and what if, what if, what
if?" Does this sound familiar?
There
is nothing that you can do about the past, except put it under the blood of
Jesus.....and there is nothing that you can do about the future, except put it
in the hands of God....then "trust" Him to forgive you of your past,
and "trust" Him to take care of your future! Why waste your
time on these two "areas" that you cannot do anything about?
Hello!
The
Lord tells us in Isaiah 26:3 that He will keep us in perfect peace if we
keep our "minds" (thoughts) upon Him! So, when the
"tape" starts playing over and over in your mind, push the
"stop" button...then start "thinking" about The Lord!
You can do this....and tomorrow I am going to share with you some of the
ways that The Lord has helped me to do
