Good Morning!
What will you be wearing today? (text
message: Ephesians 6: 11-18)
This has been an "on-going and continued" series
that I am sharing about, so I hope you will refer back
to the previous messages as we go along. Today,
let's talk about the "belt" that is part of the "armor
of God" . . . it is called the "belt of Truth". In
fact, verse 14 tells us to "tighten" our belt of Truth
so that we can stand our ground. Let's think about this
~~~ what ground? The ground that we have taken back
from the enemy . . . the progress that we have made by
wearing the "armor of God" and fighting the "good fight
of Faith"! What enabled us to gain that ground?
The TRUTH of God's Word that we stood on to get the
victory at that time . . . watch this ~~~ learning the
Truth of God's Word is a "process" . . . we don't get
all of it at one time! Are you with me? It isn't hard
to understand that we make progress and gain ground and
get a victory by taking one step at a time! Right?
Stay with me on this ~~~~ each VICTORY that God gives
us takes the "weight" of a burden off of us! But, then
there will always be another battle to win. Let
me put it this way ~~~ when a person loses "weight" in
the natural (or in their physical body),
they usually need to "tighten" up their belts another
"notch"! Well, when we lose the "weight" of one burden
that has been put on us, then we have to move our
knowledge of the TRUTH up another "notch"! How do we
do that? By spending time in the Word of God, and
finding out what the TRUTH is concerning the battle!
TRUTH protects us from "deception" and from
the "lies of the enemy"! But we have to KNOW the truth
in order to have that protection! Jesus said that if we
would continue in His WORD, then we would KNOW the
"truth" and that truth would make us free! It is the
"truth" that you KNOW about that wins the battles for
you, and removes "burdens" and destroys "yokes"! So,
when you read the Word of God . . . ask the Holy Spirit
to give you "revelation knowledge" concerning the TRUTH
of His Word, so that you can "tighten" your belt and
gain more ground to STAND ON! Don't go around with a
"loose belt" on!
