Good
Morning!
Psalms
23:1 continues~~~~~
I
am still talking about PROVISION (one of the three covenant promises that
are available to us when we "acknowledge" The Lord as our SHEPHERD)!
I have been sharing that there are different "channels" that The
Lord uses to get His PROVISION to us, and the one that I am still using is obedience!
Yesterday,
I told you that there was something else that I have seen in the
situation with Abraham and Isaac. If you will re-read Genesis
22:1-19, you will understand what I am going to tell you. ok!
I know that some of you have already seen this, but I am going to "tell
my story" anyway!
There
was someone else, besides Abraham, that was "obedient" in this
situation . . . it was Isaac! Think about it . . .
Isaac could have "pitched a fit", "screamed to high
heaven", "kicked his daddy in the shins", "fell down and
held his breath 'till he turned blue in the face" . . . (if any of you
have children, then you may know exactly what I am talking about)! It is
called, "rebellion"! Some of our children may not have done
"all of the above", but surely you can remember when
they did not want to do what you were asking them to do, and at times
did not even DO what you told them to do . . . that is called
"disobedience".
Well,
that was not the case with Isaac . . . He just "trusted" his
father and was obedient, and God "honored" Isaac
because Isaac "honored" his father! In Ephesians 6:1- 3, it
tells us that if children will "obey" and "honor" their
parents, then this opens the door (or channel) for God to bless them with
"provision and long life"! That is exactly what God did for
Isaac because he "honored and obeyed"! God
"prospered" Isaac, and Isaac lived "long on the earth"!
You might want to share this "principle" with your
children!
Remember, no Encouragement
tomorrow, but I will be back Thursday!
Have
a Blessed Day!! (Just "TRUST and
OBEY"!) In His Love, Luanne
