Good Morning!

I pray that all of you are enjoying this "walk" through the third chapter of Proverbs. I know that I am!  These scriptures are all very familiar to us, but sometimes when we read "familiar" scriptures we don't always "stop" and really think about what we are reading.  I believe that is why The Lord is having me take time to allow Him to show us more about these scriptures than what we "thought" we knew about them!  So, stay "teachable", but enjoy the journey!

We are going to look at verses 5 & 6 on this "leg" of our trip...I hope you have the road map in front of you!

The "instructions":   Trust in The Lord with all of your heart....lean not unto your own understanding....in all of your "ways" acknowledge Him.

The "results":   He will direct your paths (this promise involves many more "benefits" than what you may think).  However, we will talk about that after we find out more about the "instructions".

#1.  "Trust in The Lord".....Don't try to complicate this "instruction".  It means to have "childlike" faith that God will do what He has promised to do!  For example...there is a little child standing on the porch and the father is standing on the ground. Their daddy tells them, "go ahead and jump off the porch, and I will catch you". The child does not begin to wonder if daddy is telling them the truth or not...No!  They just "jump off of the porch"!  That is the way that we are supposed to "Trust in The Lord".......after all, He is our "Father"!

#2.   "lean not unto your own understanding"....Don't try to figure everything out!  You can end up "thinking" yourself out of a promise from God.  Oh, I have so many things that I want to share concerning this "instruction", so guess what?  Yes, you know what I am going to say......"to be continued"~~~~~~

Have a Blessed Day!!   (Go ahead and "jump" off the porch!)    In His Love, Luanne
