Good
Morning!
Yesterday's
encouragement got me to thinking about something else. I can still see
it in my mind....when we would "sing", it probably sounded more
like a funeral "dirge" instead of a joyful sound of
"thanksgiving and praise". It was not because of the songs
that we sang, but because of the "way" that we sang them. I
really believe that we thought we were supposed to come across as being very
"somber, serious and pious"! I wonder if the Lord was yawning,
and saying "Ho, hum"?
Don't
misunderstand me....I am not saying that we should never show
"reverence" to The Lord...but He, Himself, told us to "make a joyful
noise unto The Lord"! Think about it! Psalms 100:4 tells us
to "enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with
praise". Here is a song about that "scripture"...sing it
with me~~~~
I
will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart; I will enter His
courts with praise! I will say this is the day that the Lord has
made; I will rejoice for He has made me glad!
He has made me glad...He has made me glad! I will rejoice for He has
made me glad, glad, glad!
He
has made me glad...He has made me glad! I will rejoice for He has made
me glad!
So,
now answer me this~~~~How can you sing songs about what The Lord has done
for you and still look like you just swallowed a "lemon"?
I am sure that I was doing that back in my
"choir singing" days....but not any more! Praise The
Lord...I saw the Light! (that is another song we will sing together later)!
I
am on a "roll" now, so stay with me...we will be singing
some more songs! I don't see any "rules" in the Bible that say
we have to be in "church" in order to Praise The Lord!
However, I do encourage you to go to church this Sunday....and "make
a joyful noise unto The Lord"!
Have
a Blessed Weekend!! (Smile...you are on His
camera!) In His Love, Luanne
